Knowledge/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- A teaching certificate (TESOL/TEFL/ CELTA...), teaching degree preferred
- Ability to teach Cambridge AS General English paper and IGCSE English as a Second language.
- A clean criminal record check from home country and from Vietnam
- Previous experience working with adult students for whom English is not their first language.
- Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities
- A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life
- Cultural awareness and flexibility to work in an international school environment.
Experience:
- Minimum four years’ experience in teaching.
Major Responsibilities:
- Teach and prepare grade 11 and 12 students for the AS General English exam in April 2023.
- Teach and prepare grade 10 students for the IGCSE Second language English exam in May 2023.
- Plan and prepare well-structured, clearly presented lessons appropriate to the abilities of classes and nature of work following the syllabus.
- Deliver classes, create individualized plans, and launch supporting programs to increase communicative English proficiency at TH School
- Prepare and set tests, examination papers and exercises to assess learners and enhance English learning.
- Mark and provide appropriate feedback for learners on oral and written work, keep records up to date in a thorough and timely manner Review and revise the content after receiving feedback in every course.
- Participate positively in departmental meetings, follow policies and generally contribute to the effective and efficient running of the Human Institute.
