Secondary students gather for the Tết Festival on 15 January at TH School Hoà Lạc.
The Tết Festival is an annual event planned and organized by Student Council to raise funds for Community Service activities throughout the year. This year, 30 secondary homerooms from both the Chùa Bộc and Hoà Lạc campuses took part in the festivities. Each homeroom hosted a booth with either creative games or traditional food and drink from Vietnam or other countries.
Mr. Denis Smith and Mr. John Speight from TH School Chùa Bộc shared that their Grade 12 class used the school's food technology lab to craft a delicious Thai green curry recipe. Ms. Tatpicha Luangwalai's Grade 8 class at Chùa Bộc prepared red velvet cakes, which sold out very early at the Festival. To coincide with Seollal celebrations, Korean students made popular Korean dishes such as kimchi rice cakes, bibimbap and tteok-bokki. And trendy Vietnamese street foods like racing boy's bread were introduced at the Festival.
In addition to hosting booths, TH School students showed off their talents and passion for music on the stage. Solo, duet and dance performances were enthusiastically applauded by the audience, making for a truly festive atmosphere.
With the Tết holiday quickly approaching, we wish everyone a very Happy New Year!
