Grade 9 students from both the Chùa Bộc and Hoà Lạc campuses took their learning outside the classroom and into the streets of Hanoi. As part of their Vietnamese Culture Day, they learned more about the history and geography of Vietnam’s capital.
They learned from the exhibits about Vietnam’s wartime past at the Museum of Military History. Next they went to Thăng Long Royal Palace to learn more about the history and culture of the “Rising Dragon” over the last millennium. They then took part in a school version of the “Amazing Race” at Hoàn Kiếm Lake, in which they were tasked with taking pictures with visitors to Hanoi, writing poems about the streets of Hanoi and drawing pictures of the city. Their last stop was Thăng Long Puppet Theatre to experience a traditional Vietnamese art form.
