Bùi Lam Trà: The talented girl who pioneers in forming debate community in Vietnam

After graduating from TH School in 2019, Lam Tra has excellently been accepted to major universities in the US such as Ohio Weslayan, Allegheny College and Gustavus Adolphus College. At a decisive moment, Tra gave up the American dream to pursue her dream of building a young Vietnamese debate community. Tra has stayed in Vietnam and studied Professional Communication at RMIT University, and also established the Vietnam Academy of Debate and Public Speaking to make her dream come true. With effort and determination, Lam Tra has had remarkable successes as a "debater", a "professional debate coach."

• The 2019 Malaysian Open Debate Competition 1st Runner-up
• Co-founding member of Vietnam Academy of Debate and Public speaking
• Professional debate coach who has guided many teams such as Wellspring, School Teen
• Participate in organizing many major debate competitions such as the Vietnam amateur debate with more than 400 contestants.
• Teaching at the Bear Debate Camp’s debate series held in 8 provinces in Vietnam

Lam Tra shared: “During my time studying at High School, my critical thinking has been cultivated and that is the origin of my passion for debate. I believe that the ability of young people to confidently express their opinions will be a prerequisite for an increasingly active and confident young generation of Vietnamese."
