Foreign English Teacher (Hết hạn)

Location: Hanoi

Knowledge/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• A teaching certificate (TESOL/TEFL/ CELTA...), teaching degree preferred
• A clean criminal record check from home country and from Vietnam
• Previous experience working with adult students for whom English is not their first language.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities
• A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life
• Cultural awareness and flexibility to work in an international school environment

Experience:

• Minimum four years’ experience in teaching ESL/ adults

Major Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead English trainer for the Human Institute
• Develop English training courses for Vietnamese teachers of TH School, staff of TH School, TH Group and other institutions
• Plan and prepare well-structured, clearly presented lessons appropriate to the abilities of classes and nature of work following the syllabus.
• Deliver classes, create individualized plans, and launch supporting programs to increase communicative English proficiency at TH School
• Prepare and set tests, examination papers and exercises to assess learners and enhance English learning.
• Mark and provide appropriate feedback for learners on oral and written work, keep records up to date in a thorough and timely manner Review and revise the content after receiving feedback in every course.
• Organize workshops and get involved in social and cultural activities to promote the use of English among colleagues and staff.
• Participate positively in departmental meetings, follow policies and generally contribute to the effective and efficient running of the Human Institute.
