Job Summary
The Vietnamese Programme Principal is responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure academic excellence, staff development, and effective management of the Vietnamese Programme within a section of the TH School (e.g. Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary, or High School). The principal works closely with other Vietnamese Programme Principals and International Principals to support student learning and school operations. The principal fosters a positive learning environment, promotes Vietnamese language and culture, and engages with the broader community (parents, MOET/DOET, etc.) to enhance student learning. The role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire teachers, support students, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high educational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
● Develop and implement a strong curriculum that supports Vietnamese language, culture and heritage, and general academic excellence.
● Ensure high-quality teaching practices through instructional coaching and mentoring.
● Establish clear academic and behavioral expectations for students and staff.
● Analyze student performance data to guide curriculum development and instructional strategies.
● Promote innovative and student-centered learning approaches.
● Ensure compliance with MOET/DOET regulations and policies.
Staff Development and Appraisal
● Recruit, hire, and retain qualified Vietnamese educators who are passionate about Vietnamese language and culture.
● Conduct regular teacher evaluations and provide standards driven, timely, and actionable feedback.
● Facilitate professional development opportunities for teachers and staff.
● Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment for faculty and staff.
● Encourage continuous learning and career growth among educators.
Management
● Collaborates with the International Principal to oversee daily Vietnamese programme operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
● Ensure the school remains safe, well-maintained, and conducive to learning.
● Implement policies and procedures that align with educational best practices.
● Manage student enrollment, attendance, and discipline effectively within the Vietnamese Programme.
● Maintain accurate records and reports as required by MOET/DOET.
Community Outreach
● Build strong relationships with parents, alumni, MOET/DOET, and the local community.
● Assume a leadership role in the organization of cultural and academic events to engage students and families.
● Communicate school goals, achievements, and initiatives effectively to stakeholders.
● Encourage parental involvement in students’ academic and extracurricular activities.
Professionalism
● Demonstrate ethical leadership and a commitment to educational excellence.
● Stay updated with the latest educational trends, policies, and best practices.
● Maintain a high level of integrity, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
● Serve as a role model for students and staff, embodying the school’s values.

● Performs other duties and responsibilities (e.g. classroom teaching) consistent with those normally associated with the position of a Vietnamese Programme Principal.
Job requirements
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
● Teaching certification and school leadership credentials (preferred) as required by MOET/DOET.
● Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in related fields
● Proficiency in English.
