The First Published Book By A TH School Student And His Father
Category
TH School is proud to share the incredible story of Atlas Wilson Newton Nguyen, a 5R student at TH School, and his father, Mr. Johnny Wilson, a TH School teacher. After two years of dedicated collaboration and creativity, this father-and-son duo has published "The Many Tales of Watson The Gecko” inspired by the 62 Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle. The book follows the journey of a clever gecko and a mad scientist, featuring unexpected twists and valuable lessons woven seamlessly into the narrative.
Mr. Wilson expressed his immense pride in seeing his 10-year-old son Atlas persevere in crafting and editing an extraordinary adventure story about Watson the Gecko. “It has also been rewarding seeing Atlas's excellent ability to focus on editing the minutiae of the book, which often entailed hours and hours of reading the same text again and again to find very minor spelling, grammar and syntax errors” he shared about his "little partner." Together, they have created a unique work that promises to bring joy to young readers.
Passion for writing knows no age. With the support of their families and the nurturing learning environment at TH School, Atlas and other TH School students have opportunities to grow holistically and uncover their hidden potential from a young age. Let’s explore more about Atlas’s thoughts on co-writing and editing his first book with his father.
