Minh Thanh’s Secrets To Conquer Science

Trần Minh Thành is described as a remarkably diligent student at TH School Hoa Lac, who conducted a meaningful scientific experiment with the ATD Society Science Club and won First Place in the Science Snippets competition organized by Harvard University undergraduates.

Mr. Alex, a Science teacher, also shared positive remarks for his student: “Thành is a top student driven by curiosity and there are almost no limits as to what he wants to learn. He thought of an experiment that was humorous but at the same time realistic and thought-provoking to win First Place!”.

Thành and his team’s project, “The impact of energy drinks on students ' health”, is said to be sparked from his curiosity after observing students frequently consuming these drinks during exam preparation. The research was highly praised for its practical relevance to the importance of nutrition in the educational environment. Thành is also the founder of the Research Club, where he successfully created a productive academic environment and inspired his members to explore and learn more deeply.

With these experiences, Thành has some valuable tips for TH School students aiming to excel in the challenging Science subject.

Thành shared: “I believe patience is the key to understanding Science. Don’t get discouraged when you can’t grasp a new topic immediately or understand everything at once. Take it slow, and utilize resources like IGCSE and A-level practice tests online to practice solving questions. When we combine theoretical understanding with hands-on practice, we can truly master knowledge in a well-rounded way.”
