Students spent the day out and about exploring Hoàn Kiếm Lake, which is an important place in Vietnamese legend and has been an inspirational spot for poets, writers, and musicians for centuries. They visited the Lý Thái Tổ monument, which commemorates the founder of the Lý Dynasty who relocated the imperial capital to modern day Hanoi. They burned incense at Ngọc Sơn Temple, also known as the Temple of the Jade Mountain, and enjoyed music performances on the streets around the lake.
