7-Year-Old Thser & Rewards On The Journey Of Pursuing Mathematics
Category
TH School continues to receive great news from the impressive achievement of Trần Phúc Lâm, a student from class 2E, in the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) 2024-2025.
Not stopping at the Heat Round (National Round) with a Gold Award, Phúc Lâm successfully secured a Silver Award in the International Final Round in Thailand, surpassing thousands of contestants from various countries around the world.
Despite his young age, Phúc Lâm has already shown an early interest in Mathematics. His family shared: “Lâm didn’t feel pressure when participating in the competition because he had been introduced to mathematical concepts such as multiplication, division, shapes, vertices, and edges in class from an early age.”
Lâm’s fondness for numbers has made TH School proud, as he is one of the youngest students in our school to achieve outstanding results in an international math competition. Notably, this is the second consecutive year he has won an award at TIMO. Last year, after earning a Silver Award in the national round, Lâm set a goal to “level-up” his medal for a chance to compete in Thailand. Living up to expectations, he not only achieved his goal this year but also showed strong determination to aim even higher next year.
Phúc Lâm’s achievement at TIMO marks a promising start on his mathematical journey. TH School wishes Phuc Lam to continue yielding many successes on the journey of pursuing Mathematics.
