Our students met with the children of the Hope Class for a day of art, song, and games.
Today students made a visit to Vietnam National Children's Hospital (VNCH) in Hanoi, where they spent the day with the Hope Class, a class of 20 in-patient children, many of whom are suffering from chronic diseases or are undergoing long-term treatments. The students played games with the children, sang songs, and made drawings and sculptures. They also gave the children books, school supplies, and milk, which they fundraised for themselves. The visit was an enriching experience for some, with one student saying he appreciates his health much more having visited these children and learning about their experiences. Extracurricular activities are usually held at the weekend and are intended to be fun for students whilst providing another space to develop life skills.
