Our SEL programme is built around five core competencies: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making. These competencies are thoughtfully integrated with essential learning in Child Safeguarding and Digital Citizenship, helping students build healthy relationships, make informed choices, and navigate an increasingly connected world with confidence and integrity.
TH School’s SEL curriculum draws on internationally recognised programmes, including Jigsaw, which promotes student wellbeing, personal development, and healthy relationships, and Common Sense Education, which develops responsible digital citizenship and online safety. These evidence-based resources provide engaging lessons, meaningful discussions, and practical learning experiences that support students’ social, emotional, and personal growth.
All TH School students participate in a dedicated one hour Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSHE) lesson each week. During this time, teachers and co-teachers facilitate interactive, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that strengthen students’ wellbeing, resilience, interpersonal skills, and character while fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive school community.
