IT officer look after our school’s networks, install, order and maintain software and hardware and provide technical support to teachers and pupils.

WHAT’S INVOLVED

• You will be working as an IT officer, mainly doing helpdesk support. Your day-to-day work will involve:
• Install the operating system, and support users on technical issues.
• Planning maintenance and make sure all the devices at center working properly.
• To provide technical support to telephone and email requests from users for all PC hardware, software and associated peripherals.
• Administer camera system, access control, and timekeeping software.
• Installing new software and upgrading existing applications
• Manage IT assets & maintain IT equipment and repair it when possible.
• Join in IT projects assigned by IT Sup/Manager or in charge for IT tasks/other duties assigned by IT Sup/Manager
• Providing technical support for teachers and pupils
• Ensuring internet systems are safe and offer full child protection
• Training teachers and students SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED
• Have the capacity of managing LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, antivirus, IP phone, Camera system, website
• Knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware and software commonly used in schools (Windows, Apple ipads, projectors)
• Good problem-solving skills, organisational skills
• The ability to explain problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users
• Good ability of communication, team works, have a high sense of responsibility.

MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION/ RELATED EXPERIENCE

• At least Bachelor Degree in Computing or related fields desirable.
• Qualifications in network management with HPE or Microsoft desirable
• Proficient in spoken English
•  At least 3 years of help desk experience working in IT support
